Homework

New Book Project: Due Wednesday, June 13.

Fact Practice: 3 times weekly
The purpose of this is to:
-gain fact fluency through multiplication by the end of grade 3
***Xtramath is a great venue for this since it tracks progress, but when students want to choose a different method (computer game, cards, w/ parent etc) it is no problem.  Doing Xtramath at least 1x weekly will still graph the progress.

Nightly Homework
Any math sheets, word study, vocabulary practice- any other homework is due the next day unless noted.

!!!Important!!!
I believe that homework should be routine practice of skills we are developing.  I never ever want a child to work for an excessive amount of time on any assignment.  Helping your child is of course ok, but if you are finding that they are truly confused, the students should complete what he/she can and write a ? next to questions that have them stuck.  It is more important that I see what the child can do and what is stumping them then turning in a complete assignment just for the sake of it.  I really mean this!
